My fitted hat game has been slacking lately. I think the last hat I bought was a Mishka cap and that was probably 6 months ago. That goodness I came across this new Supreme x New Era fitted. This hat comes as part of Supreme's Fall/Winter 2012 collection, comes in 5 different colorways and is available now via their webshop. But you know how these things work, so I would cop yours now or sit angry across from your buddy who's wearing because he didn't procrastinate. Don't be a procrastinator.
The new Nas album is in stores now and here's a new set of visuals for one of my favorite tracks on the project. Nas touches on the difficult divorce from Kelis on "Bye Baby". To brighten things up, the video features Aaron Hall. I was just asking my wife (sorry Nas) what happened to Aaron. Glad to see Nas reached out and got him in the video. Check it out.
Big Boi and Theophilus remind me why it was ok that she said "ok". Look out for Big Boi's Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors project dropping November 13th.
All I want for my birthday is a pair of Y3 sneakers...but a big booty hoe wouldn't hurt.
Its not too often a new friend request turns into a blog post without the artist asking. Bobby followed me on Twitter earlier today and something about his profile said "give this kid a listen." So I hit up his web site. Not too bad. With that I figured I might as well check out his music. Pretty damn dope. Seriously, this kid has skills. I see big things in the future from Bobby as long as he consistently puts out this type of material. Check it out, definitely worth the listen.

So, the good folks at Double D Productions have put together a 30 track mixtape featuring some of 2012's hottest tracks featuring G.O.O.D. Music artists to hold us over. Featuring tracks like "No Lie," "Mercy," "Exodus 23:1," "I Don't Like" Remix" and more. Now I'm off to the pool to cool out.

The release of The Illz The Darkest Hour project is slowing creeping up on us (officially drops on 11/13). As Illz gets ready to unleash the entire project on the masses, here's one more leak to hold us over.
Miguel drops his new album, Kaleidoscope Dream, on 10/2 and here we have a look-see at the cover art. To all the fans who cant wait another month, dont worry, because Miguel is dropping his Kaleidoscope Dream - The Air Preview EP on 9/11 as a follow-up to his Kaleidoscope Dream - The Water Preview EP which featured the dope single "Adorn." As a side note, I don't think I ever had a Kaleidoscope when I was a kid? I have to confront my parents about that later today.
Brand new video from one of last years X-Factor stand out artist, Marcus Canty, featuring DC's own Wale.
Harry Fraud gets his hands on Stalley's "Petrin Hill Peonies" for a dope, hard hitting remix.
Colin Munroe is back with another sporatic release since his Pusha T assisted "The Flight Of My Life". This tracks feautes a dub-step sound which works well with Colin's laid back sound. Look out of this album Unsung Hero which drops 9/4.
Bean's sat down with GlobalGrind and talks about the real reason behind the Jay x Dame split. Everything he says sounds pretty believable but like they say, ask 3 people the same question and only believe it if 2 of them give you the same answer.

Looking for something to get you hyped up on hump day? Well...here you go. Team Bayside High and Hollywood Holt have an aggressive message for all of you less that real individuals. Just wait until you leave work before you "Get Buck". I don't want anyone to "get fired".
Dope new visuals from Major Lazer for "Get Free" off their upcoming LP, Free The Universe. Diplo's production combined with Jamacian Dance hall visuals and laid back vocals from Amber Coffman make this a damn good video.
Peep the new video from Fools Gold emcee, Donnis, and they head over to iTunes to pick up his latest EP, Break Hundreds & Hearts.
Jared Evan is a dope artist. Hands down someone I would love to see gain some mainstream attention. Everything from his sound to his production is quality is on point. Check out the new video for "One Good Thing" off his latest 4th Chapter EP and Im sure you'll agree.
Wow! Talk about...uh, different. Old Spice and Terry Crews take us to the "Danger Zone" and turn muscles into music. While most of you will never be as pumped as Mr. Crews, the new ad allows the user to record their own "muscle jam" remix after Terry finishes his solo. You have to check this out.
Curtiss links up with Glasses Malone and Hit-Boy for the remix of "Ratchets Still Jockin." Look out for Curtiss' debut album "Atychiphobia" coming soon.
Thanks to TMZ, we now have a photo of the man LL Cool J put the beat down on. The guy's name is Jonathan Kirby and he looks like someone LL would also beat up on NCIS. I wounder if he put on one of those "Cool J" 4 finger rings before he punished the poor guy.
In case you forget who's house you broke into when you wake up.
XO's The Color Grey drops 10/1.
J.A.E. takes his turn at 2 Chainz "No Lie" and add a set of visuals to go along with it.
Well this is a surprise. Apparently this track has been tearing up the charts on Australian singer Guy Sebastian's home front and now we get the visuals. Awesome track. Positive music by talented artists always outweighs the crap on the radio any day. Lupe's Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album drops 9/25.
The good fellas over at A$AP have officially dropped their long awaited mixtape. Stream/ download below and remember, if you worry then you must not be a Lord. #FoodForThought.

Brand new light hearted video from Mayer Hawthorne for "No Strings" off his October 2011 How Do You Do album. From the looks of the casting, I wish I could just live in this video.
Its so cool when you just stumble onto new artists and new music. I never heard of Bridget Kelly until today when I happened to come across this track. Now THIS is the type of R&B I would love to hear more on the radio. Check out the track below and keep this Roc Nation diva on your radar. Im sure we'll be hearing a lot more from her in the near future.
8/25 marked the day Aaliyah was taken away too soon. In celebration of her life, 2 re-worked Aaliyah tracks surfaced. Producer, Question, gives "Rock The Boat" a more 90's hip hop feel while Shlohmo delivers a chopped and screwed version of the Drake assisted "Enough Said". Both worth checking out.

FAT JOE FEAT. KANYE WEST, MIGUEL, JADAKISS, MOS DEF, DJ KHALED, ROSCOE DASH & BUSTA RHYMES - "PRIDE & JOY" (VIDEO)
New visuals from Fat Joe featuring a rack of Hip Hop's elite. Well sorta...Kanye, Miguel and Roscoe are the only ones "really" on the track. The rest make a special appearance in the video and/or are part of the "pride & joy" chant at the end of the song.
You know its a slow ass night when Im posting custom Pepsi cans. No word on when these will (ever) hit shelves, but its cool to see Pepsi taking on creative collabs.

E-40 and a rack of other emcees release visuals for 40's public announcement that he's simply only out here trying to "function."
While this isn't the remix line up we were originally promised, it'll have to do.
I have no idea who My Name Is Kay...is. She has a track with Pusha T and thats how I came about this video. The song isnt bad. Very radio friendly. The video on the other hand...yeeeahhh, Manikin love is not my thing.
Rita Ora links up with fellow Roc Nation emcee J. Cole for a dope cut off her upcoming album Ora which drops 8/27. I'm going to be honest. I'm a little disappointed. Cole is only on the hook. I was expecting at least a verse but a las we just get hook work. I still think the track has potential.
Brand new visuals from Baltimore's own Rome Cee. Very few videos capture the feel of a track and I always tell people I think a video can make or break a song. Rome does a dope job keep the dramatic feel of the song in the visuals. Check it out and grab Rome's Grey Area project if you haven't already.
Phil Ade and Dee Boy flip Dom Kennedy's "My Type Of Party" for a special Royal Fam remix.
Some people have way too much time on their hands. Case in point, this masup of DMX ad libs and the opening sequence to popular 80's kids show "Reading Rainbow." While random as it may be, I have to admit it did give me a nice chuckle.

If youre DJ Alex Edge and you decided you're going to do a mashup mixtape then you probably said "f*ck normal DJs and anyone who f*cks with them! I love Jay-Z and I love the movie 'Superbad' so Im going to combine 2 unrelated loves." And thats just what he did. layering Jay-Z's verses over the soundtrack from the movie 'Superbad,' DJ Alex Edge creates a...interesting mixtape. Take listen and download to the entire project below.

Now here's a nifty idea. Now that the Facebook x Instragram deal is official Im sure we're going to see more and more products pop up for the photo giant. D2M has created to living canvas to display your Instagram photos via touchscreen display. The Instacube runs on Android and connects to your phone wirelessly on a 600x600 LCD display. I have to admit this is pretty cool. Saves time and money printing your pics to display at home. Check out the official KickStarter page for more info.
Im...Im just going to ask you to hit play and let this one speak for itself.
Time to slow it down a little here on SXO. Dwele enlists the assistance of Raheem DeVaughn for the latest single off his upcoming album, Greater Than One. Its supposed to be rainy and crappy on the east coast this weekend (damn you weather man!) so Im sure a lot of you will be staying in for some cuddle time (did I just really say that?). The smooth vibe both of these dudes bring to the table should help set the mood right. Check it out.
Its been a while since I featured a new eye candy for all the fellas who frequent the blog (and some ladies too) but once I caught a glimpse of Ciara strutting it the beach...dayum! She may not be killing it on the music scene right now but she sure as hell is keeping her body killer. These shots could put a smile on a blind mans face.
This is hands down my favorite shot.
Before Donny sets to break the world record for the longest freestyle (promises 24 hrs) he wants to let the world know how he feels about Lil Wayne. Sounds like someone has been waiting to vent for a loooonng time. Wayne...you're up next.

Its been 25 years since Microsoft updated its look, and as the company readies its Windows 8, updated Office, Windows Phone and Xbox services they also went ahead and updated their logo. The new logo uses a Segoe font and features a clean 4 color squares which are used to "express the company’s diverse portfolio of products". Head on over to The Official Microsoft Blog to learn more about the new look.
Just got that High School Reunion invitation in the mail? Looking to stunt on all your old friends and bag that popular cheerleader for just one night? Well I have just the thing that will accomplish all of this and more (you might even bag 2 or 3 of those cheerleaders and a MILF). Check out the Maison Martin Margiela 22' High Top. The kicks feature patent and soft leathers with a rust/smoke colorway signed with Margiela’s signature white stitch on the heel. So go get that Brooks Brothers suit tailored and make sure your credit card isn't maxed out because these babies aren't cheap. Available now at Oki-Ni for $590 USD.
These caps sold out crazy fast when they were first released and now Black Scale has decided to re-release the successful strap back. No word on when the re-relese will happen but as soon as I know, you'll know. In the meantime, check out A$AP performing "Goldie" on Jimmy Fallon.
Do not attempt to adjust your screen settings. Lupe's album cover for his Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1 will be all black. My thoughts? Where's the effort? I mean, at least Jay was somewhere to be found in the background on his all black cover for The Black Album. The budget cant be that tight. Anywho, Im really looking forward to this project. From what Ive heard so far it sounds "like Lupe". Lasers was a forced effort and The Cool dropped ages ago. This is a breath of fresh air. The album is now available for pre-order and officialy drops on September 25th.
Lupe continues to stir up conversation (both good and bad) in regards to his latest musical offerings. Adding fuel to the fire, check out the latest visuals for his track "B*tch Bad" which will be on his upcoming Food & Liquor 2. I all honesty, In have to agree with just about every word in this track. Those that disagree are more than likely the ones that like to continue to perpetuate the sterotype. Yeah, I used some big people words boy!
Badio gave us a taste of this track on his last leak, "The Warmup", and now we have the full version. Featuring Joe Pauz and production from JO A. Hold Up!
Its been some time since The White Panda graced the pages of SXO. What better way to bring them back to the top than with a new mashup of REM and Denzal Park (I see the confused yet highly interested look on your face). The duo took one of REM's classic tracks, "Losing My Religion" and smashed it together with Denzal Park's "Amarok" giving it a super dope dance vibe. You have to hear it to believe it.
Football season is officially in full effect and I think these new kicks from Supra will perfectly display my Ravens Purple Pride. Supra let loose these S1W models as part of their Reign Pack which features a predominantly black tone with purple and turquoise details. The shoes are available now via the Supra online shop. Ravens Rule!! Yeah! *meat head voice
The visuals dropped a few days ago but I just heard the song today on the radio. Can I be honest? Like really honest? I LOVE this track! Yeah, the beat is a "Aston Martin Music" knockoff but the track is f'in FIRE! Except one lil thing...Lil Wayne. Aside from the fact his verse is...well, not that good, the song is perfect with Keyshia on her own. I understand the business behind the feature but in a perfect world, I would have drafted Nas for the feature. Just sayin.
While its not set in stone, according to TMZ, Mr. West's people are in negotiations with A.I. about adding his "personality" to the judges panel. This, of course, would be a huge win for the show and would more than likely bring back a lot of the viewers it lost to competitors like X-Factor and The Voice. But dont jump and down in your skinny jeans just yet, they are just TALKING about the possibility of him on the show:
But [Kanye's interest] doesn’t mean he’s on board — we’re told Yeezy is still
unsure about accepting the gig. The way it was put to us … “He’s on the fence,”
because he’s not sure if “A.I.” is in his wheelhouse.
another big hang up — cash. Informed sources tell TMZ … “Idol” would “at least
match Mariah’s salary” — a cool $18 mil a year.
I would love to see A.I. make this happen. Kanye's words of wisdom always give me a nice hardy chuckle.
Leona Lewis snatches up Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) for her latest single. I cant honestly say, with a straight face that I never saw this one coming. The track reminds me of the hard hitting sound of her break out single "Bleeding Love". I like the Gambino verse but I could have done without it (no offense Donald, I still support your role on "Community"). Check out the audio above and cop the song (plus remixes) now on iTunes.
I'm usually one of the first to let you know about a new Kydd project. Not sure how this one slipped past my radar, but its here now. Kydd dropped this LP only a few weeks ago and it caught the ears of some heavy hitters, garnering some mainstream attention from the likes of Mishka NYC. The project comes with a different sound and direction than Kydd's previous mixtapes and shows major growth in the MC. With Kydd's consistency and talent, I give him another year or so before he's a household name. That's right, I said now mark your calendars.
