Wiz let this mixtape go late last week. I would have posted it then but honestly I was just too lazy to get around to it. So if you didnt scoop it up or had no idea it even dropped, the I guess Ive made your otherwise dull Monday that much better. The majority of production on this project comes courtesy of Lex Luger.

After quite a few leaks, Travis Barker and DJ Whoo Kid's mixtape is finally here. This project is a prelude to Barkers "Give The Drummer Some" which drops on March 15th. "Let The Drummer Get Wicked" features appearances from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Game, Lupe Fiasco, Wiz Khalifa, Royce Da 5’9”, Waka Flocka Flame, Lloyd Banks, J. Cole, Clipse and Tech N9ne. Now all we need is a DJ free version. Sorry Whoo Kid but no one opts for the additional DJ yelling if they have a choice.

Im not a huge fan of cover songs, but if they're done right then it deserves some shine. This new joint comes from VA band, The Five One, and they manage to take Wiz's hip-hop infused track and give it a laid back alternative/ indie rock feel. Pretty dope. Now Im off to grab some lunch. But dont worry, I have more goodies on the way.

All-Star weekend might be over but I just came across this video of Chris Brown putting in some And 1 moves on the court. I had no idea this dude could ball! That trick shot at the end was also a surprise to me because it didnt look like much of a surprise to him. haha. Check it out.
Fresh new visuals from Mr. West and 1/10 of the "All Of The Lights" cast. I guess that bill for and Elton John appearance was to steep for even Yeezy to pay. All in all this is still another home run video from Kanye and Hype Williams. The flashing lights in the beginning could throw someone into an epileptic seizure but it only lasts for a sec. Side Note: that outfit Rihanna has on?? Woooooweee! I had to freeze frame that shot for min. haha
This video/ mini-movie is awesome! Great graphic, great comedic elements, great action. And Kanye's temper tantrum at the end is the best. haha. Check it out!
Here's a nice little surprise on a somewhat dull Thursday evening. I posted a few of Siya's tracks way way back over the Summer and then I didn't hear anything else from her. Now I get a 14 track mixtape featuring production from The Olympicks, Black Metaphor, Saint John, DJ Fu, 4Front and Self Service. Straight dizzzope.

J. Cole & Drizzy? Yeah, Ill let line up just speak for itself. "Friday Night Lights" right here and "Cole World" is on the way!
What better way to end the evening that with a Yezzy makover. DJ/ Producer, Pretty Lights, decided to portray his rendition of Kanye's overly star studded track "All Of The Lights." Now Im off to enjoy some T.V. before the work week begins promptly at 8 A.M. Peace!

So its no secret that I've been on and off for the past 2 weeks with updates here on the site. And while the content may not come in as often as I would like, I still keep my ear to the ground on whats going on in the entertainment and fashion world. With that said, this latest new shocked the hell out of me. I know rumors were circling around about the financial future of A Bathing Ape but I never really thought the company would really go up for sale. Apparently NIGO is staying on board as the creative director of the company for the next two years but after that its up to I.T, and its already extensive brand portfolio, to keep things running and maintain the cult following its built over the past 16 years. WWD had a chance to sit down with NIGO for a post sale interview and here's what was said:
“The company itself wasn’t in a very dire situation, but in the end I spent so much time looking after the management side that I wasn’t really able to do design,” he told WWD during an interview at his personal atelier, packed with what is only a portion of his extensive collection of vintage toys, art, pop culture artifacts and designer furniture. A statue of Colonel Sanders greets visitors at the entrance, and the space downstairs houses no less than a vintage Coca-Cola vending machine, a jukebox, a giant Apple Computer logo sign in neon lights and a series of paintings by New York-based artist Kaws featuring the Simpsons characters with missing eyes.
“Basically, I can’t do business. I’m not suited for it. I wish I had had a partner on the business side from the beginning,” said a surprisingly upbeat Nigo, whose real name is Tomoaki Nagao. The music and fashion impresario said he always thought he would sell the company he incorporated in 1995.
“I turned 40 [last December], there was the turning point of the brand reaching nearly 20 years since its establishment, and I think I made a forward-looking choice,” he said, acknowledging the brand’s popularity in Japan has faded in recent years. “About two or three years ago the brand and the company got too big for me to handle, plus there was the problem with the economy, and the number of things I wasn’t able to control on my own increased, so I started looking for a partner.”
Nigo said sales for the year ended Aug. 31 totaled about 5 billion yen, or $55.5 million. He said sales peaked in the 2006 to 2007 period, when Nowhere was registering an annual volume of about 7.5 billion yen, or $63 million.
In April 2009, Nigo stepped down as president and director of Nowhere in an effort to bring in more formal management, but that was a short-lived arrangement and he resumed his role at the helm of the company only a few months later.
I.T has said Nowhere posted a loss of 267.43 million yen, or $2.78 million, for the fiscal year ended Aug. 31, 2009, and a loss of 119.05 million yen, or $1.32 million, for the year ended Aug. 31, 2010. Dollar figures were converted at average exchange rates for the periods to which they refer.
But Nigo expressed a different take on the numbers. “The accounting base is different, so I don’t think we made a loss. It’s difficult [to say]. But I never missed payments or delayed paying employees’ salaries,” he said, adding he’s kept his personal fortune and the company’s coffers separate.
Nowhere had net liabilities of 1.25 billion yen, or $13.88 million, as of Aug. 31. Also, I.T is taking on about 4.31 billion yen, or $52.79 million, of Nowhere’s outstanding bank loans and shop leases.
“I definitely didn’t want to file [for bankruptcy] under the Civil Rehabilitation Law, and I didn’t want to damage the brand,” Nigo said. “I had a strong feeling that I wanted the brand to survive, so the main thing was thinking what to do about that. I spent 20 years building it up, so it would be a real shame for it to disappear.”
Im very anxious to see what direction I.T will take the BAPE brand after NIGO's 2 years are up.

Here's a look at the sixth season from one of my favorite brands. I honestly think this collection dropped before the holidays but I'm just noticing it. If the Superb guys are reading this one, you need to hook me up with one of those glow in the dark hoodies! Two words...
Its amazing what you can miss when you take a week off from this blogging sh*t. Ah well everyone needs a break every now and then. Whelp, break time over. Here's a new set of visuals from Kellee Maize off her upcoming album Integration set to drop sometime this year.
Yep, yep! The counterpart to the album art finally surfaces. Even though I'm excited to see the album doesn't have a lot of features, I'm a little disappointed there aren't any tracks w/ Pharrell or Kanye. Was anyone else looking forward to Lupe's album featuring more heavyweight artists?
