I just woke up from a 5 Guys induced nap to find this little gem. Talk about one hell of a mash-up! You see a good mash-up is more then blending an artists vocals with a beat that has the same bpm. A good mash-up is ultimately successful when the track evokes an entirely new feel. This is what Carlos Serrano has accomplished with this Kanye West x The xx "Touch The Sky" mix. While this track is pretty dope I think if Ye had the opportunity to do something with it in 2011 it would turn out 100 times dopper (is that a word?). Press play and see for yourself. I'm home with the sniffles so I should have enough time to accomplish this goal, so here we go. New Weezy (sorta) let loose by Streetrunna. You may remember Streetrunna liberated a different Wayne track last week that was about 3 years old. I believe this falls in right around the same time frame. Holy Absent Blogger Batman! Blame it on the 9 to 5 that's keeping me away from dishing out the goodies more frequently. If you're saying to yourself, "I already have Big Sean Finally Famous Vol 3." Well now you have the untagged version. Can anyone tell me when we're going to get a full album from this dude? CURREN$Y - "RETURN TO THE WINNER'S CIRCLE" MIXTAPE
Hi there boys and girls. I'm beginning to gather myself from the New Years Eve debauchery and usher in 2011 with a bang here on the site. As you can tell from the title, I decided the first post of 2011 would be from none other then my boy Curren$y. Why Curren$y? Well for one I played the Mega Millions tonight and I hope some currensy will come my way (about 200 million according to the news). Second, I have a good feeling this will be the year Curren$y (the rapper) takes the forefront and moves from Internet popularity to local radio station regular.
